What does SVEA do differently

Aligned with NEP 2020 and global best practices, PBL engages students in research, interviews, and community projects—building real-world problem solving and 21st-century skills.

Guided by Harvard’s Project Zero, we nurture thinking skills in Nursery–V through specially designed content that includes images, experiments, and audio promoting curiosity, observation, reasoning, and the ability to justify ideas.

Robotics, STEM and Design-Thinking sessions are conducted in the ATL Lab by external experts with the aim of cultivating innovation, analytical ability, and a maker’s mindset.

Teachers trained in global best practices introduce graphic organisers—so even Class 1 students can draw Venn diagrams to compare and contrast textbook content. Flipped classrooms on designated chapters, training in creating learning journals, and our ongoing work towards gamification together make learning more engaging, reflective, and future-ready.

Our own Olympiad prepares students for future competitive exams, sharpening logical reasoning and problem-solving, while celebrating talent and building confidence.

SVEA introduced competency-based questions way back in in 2016, CBSE & ASSEB introduced this in 2024.

Students are guided, encouraged, and awarded points for publishing write-ups in magazines and leading newspapers — extending learning into real life through creative tasks, reflective writing, and hands-on experiences.
